Criteria used in evaluating potential members include:

Membership is not renewed each year which means members must be reevaluated yearly.
The Nation Trial Lawyers exists to recognize legal excellence across the county and works to offer further training for trial lawyers. Membership in The National Trial Lawyers provides lawyers opportunities to learn better legal strategies as well. The National Trial Lawyers also publishes a quarterly magazine, The Trial lawyer, which its members are entitled to as a part of their annual dues.
Being a member also opens door for additional training, education, and networking. Members are featured on The National Trial Lawyers website in its nation-wide directory. Most significantly is the opportunity to tell potential clients that one is a member of an elite group of attorney from around the county.
